3 Tips to Improve Your Listing: Kitchen Images

1. Capture Multiple Perspectives

  • Landscape Orientation: Ensure you use a landscape orientation for your photos, this will suit the image gallery on our marketplace and provides a wider view, showcasing more of your kitchen. Ensure each photo is framed well, keeping the main features of your kitchen centrally positioned, ie: cookers, hobs and prep areas. Our marketplace allows you to upload PNG, JPG, JPEG (Max 10MB) files.
  • Take snaps from several angles: Take a minimum of 3-5 images from various angles to fully showcase the space and layout of your kitchen. Include wide shots to capture the overall space, appliances, storage and prep areas. This approach helps food vendors get a comprehensive view of your kitchen, making it easier for them to visualise their operations in your space. Also if you allow for food collection via the aggregator apps (e.g. Deliveroo, Uber Eats) please take photos of the access for drivers.

2. High-Quality Images

  • Focus on Image Quality: High-resolution images are crucial. They convey professionalism and detail, allowing potential renters to see the quality of your space. Ensure your images are not blurry or pixelated. We don't expect professional images, a good smartphone will do, just take your time and ensure your images are giving your kitchen justice. Avoid using the zoom feature, as it can reduce the image quality.
  • Make sure the space is well lit: Take advantage of natural light by photographing your kitchen during the day. Open doors or blinds to let in as much light as possible, reducing shadows and highlighting the cleanliness and spaciousness of your kitchen. If natural light is limited, ensure your space is well-lit with artificial lighting to avoid dark or unclear images.

3. Present a Clean and Tidy Kitchen

  • Showcase a Clean Environment: We understand that kitchens are high-traffic areas, so take the time to clean up before taking any photos. Pay attention to countertops, appliances, and floors. Remove any clutter or personal items that could distract from the kitchen's appeal. A clean and tidy kitchen not only looks more inviting but also demonstrates your commitment to maintenance and hygiene.

High-quality images showcase your kitchen’s best features to potential food vendors By following these photography tips, you can create a compelling and attractive listing that stands out to them.
